Welcome to EHS Boss
While the blog pages will address specific topics within the field of Environmental Management or Occupational Health & Safety, they should not be seen as a replacement for organisational-specific competent advice.
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) are core supporting areas to a successful business. Within the traditional sense, EHS covers the safety & wellbeing of employees & contractors alongside the environmental impacts of the company within their local environment. The scope of EHS is often much more wide-ranging, covering occupational safety, occupational health & hygiene, chemical safety, transportation of hazardous materials, corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability and risk governance.
Throughout my corporate EHS career, I have worked in manufacturing, industrial printing, warehousing, distribution, customer contact centres and third- & fourth- party logistics (3PL & 4PL). Predominantly my career has been based in the United Kingdom but has also included working with teams across the European Union, Island of Ireland, India and the United States of America.
I am a Chartered Safety Practitioner holding membership of the Insitute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH). In addition to CMIOSH, I am also a member of
- International Insitute of Risk & Safety Management (IIRSM)
- American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP)
- British Occupational Health Society (BOHS)
- European Occupational Safety and Health Manager (EurOSHM)
